St Mary’s CE Primary is a very special school that has served the town of Burton Latimer since 1581, where we believe ‘Everything is possible for one who believes.’

Our Christian ethos and values allow the children to learn in a happy, safe and vibrant school community.

Our dedicated and skilled team of staff and governors share a passion to ensure the very best for every child and to create an environment that allows young minds to dream, create, believe, excel and to feel a true sense of worth and belonging. We want to foster an enthusiasm for learning that remains throughout their life while equipping our pupils with the physical, emotional, social and intellectual skills they need to be happy and successful.

We offer a well-balanced, engaging and relevant curriculum, allowing our children to learn about their local environment and the ever-changing world they live in. We are fortunate to have extensive outdoor space and offer a wide range of curriculum enrichment through trips, visitors and extra-curricular activities.

We are proud of our school community and work in partnership with our parents to inspire the children to believe in themselves, develop resilience and achieve their potential. Our parents provide support for both their children and the school and our active Parent, Teacher and Friends Association (PTFA) work closely with the school, looking for fun, exciting ways to inspire and challenge our learners of all ages! Together we ensure that the experiences for our school family are wide and varied.
